The Inspired Approach
Assess
- Coordinate a brief e-survey to capture perspective and specific Strength/Weakness/Opportunity/Threat feedback from stakeholders including Administration, Teachers, Parents, School Staff, Board Members etc.
- Meet with Administration to learn about current goals, testing results, areas of concern, recent success or challenges of Professional Development investments.
- Prepare comprehensive Needs Assessment outlining specific opportunities for improvement at your school or in your classroom.
Customize
- Create a tailored plan for your school. Identify most urgent and viable areas for improvement and analyze data with an eye to identifying grade level, content, training, or resource gaps.
- Present a targeted proposal with 3 distinct tiers of proposed support. Solution levels may be selected based on the educators’ budget, sense of urgency and time available.
- Identify approaches to create harmony between proposed new strategies and existing culture and preferences in your school, classroom or home.
Execute
Implement the chosen tier for support using fun and collaborative interaction.
Tier 1
- On-line, educator-directed classroom resources in a variety of content areas
- Professional Development Workshops to introduce teachers and support staff to resources and methodologies
Tier 2
- Creation of customized instructional maps, coordination of standards, and organization and consolidation of current best practices with newly created resources
- Extended Professional Development Training including follow-up sessions
- PLUS, all Tier 1 support.
Tier 3
- Multi-year consulting support including ALL Tier 1 & Tier 2 interventions
- Creation of individualized lesson plans, in-class modeling and mentoring, customized academic scheduling, vertical alignment across grade levels, and the development of a 2–3-year strategic plan for improved mastery of content areas and testing scores
- Optional training in collaborative learning strategies
Sustain
- Evaluate success at appropriate intervals through teacher surveys, analysis of testing and ease of implementation.
- Adjust as needed for Tier 3 level consulting.
